All work carried out, and all advice offered, is done with regard to the latest techniques and kept up to date with ongoing training as part of the Continuous Professional Development commitment with the Arboricultural Association. This ensures that current methods are used.
"Arboriculture is defined as the cultivation of trees and shrubs and now more widely we use the term to describe the management of trees, especially those in our towns and cities."
The benefits of trees are becoming better understood. They respire, absorbing carbon dioxide and producing oxygen and improve the visual amenity of urban areas. The role they perform in reducing temperature by providing shade can, as emerging research suggests, be so effective that a 10% increase in urban tree canopy would offset the anticipated rise of in excess of 4°C in inner-city temperatures expected by the end of the century.
